WATER TEMPERATURE
For the end of the month of June, the expected water temperatures are:

The official water temperature for each race will be taken 1 hour prior to the start of the first wave. This will determine whether wetsuits will be allowed as per the point 4.2 of the World Triathlon Competition Rules

SWIMSKIN
A competitor may wear a swim skin. Please note that the World Triathlon Rules definition of a swim skin: Must be 100% textile material, which is defined as materials consisting of natural and/or synthetic, individual and non-consolidated yarns used to constitute fabric by weaving, knitting and/or braiding (this generally refers to suits made only from nylon or lycra that do not have any rubberized material such as polyurethane or neoprene.
Swimskins must comply with the wetsuit section of the applicable Guidelines Regarding Authorised Identifications.
Swimskins MUST be removed after the swim segment.

RIVER LÉREZ - SWIMMING ACCESS
Outside of the days/times of the official swim fam and competitions, access to the river Lérez for swimming is not forbidden but it will be done under the responsibility of the athlete and without any safety arrangements from the organisation.
Access to the water from the competition pontoon of the bridge of Los Tirantes is forbidden. It will only be possible to access the water from the Playa Fluvial.
WATER QUALITY TESTS
In preparation for the 2025 World Triathlon Multisport Championships Pontevedra the water quality of the swim course is regularly monitored by the independent institute of hygiene and environment and has to be according to the official specifications of World Triathlon.
